Does the Valotalive SharePoint app work with SharePoint on-premises?

No. The app works exclusively with SharePoint Online. On-premises SharePoint installations are not supported.

How does Valotalive authenticate with SharePoint?

Valotalive uses OAuth 2.0 with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) credentials. No passwords are stored; access is controlled through your existing Microsoft identity infrastructure and can be revoked from Entra ID at any time.

Can I filter which SharePoint news posts appear on my screens?

Yes. The app follows your existing SharePoint filtering rules — by News Type, Audience, or Translation Language. The same tags applied to posts in SharePoint are honoured in the display. All filter values are case sensitive.

What is AI Smart Summaries in the SharePoint app?

AI Smart Summaries uses Google Gemini to automatically condense SharePoint news posts into 3–4 bullet points optimised for screen readability. The original post title is preserved. The feature can be toggled on or off in the app settings.

Which devices does the Valotalive SharePoint app support?

The app supports Windows, ChromeOS, and Samsung Tizen devices. It requires a Valotalive account and SharePoint Online.
